TLC Pet Spa is owned and operated by Tish Bachert, who is a full time groomer and active in the community by rescuing pets in need (33 years of experience!). She opened TLC Pet Spa in February 2015 in Duluth, Georgia after working as a groomer for veterinarians, a corporate box store and small grooming shops in her area. Tish realized over the years that she wanted to offer her own, happy grooming environment for the pets who come in to be groomed - as well as her coworkers. Every pet that comes in knows they are loved because that is all of our common goal! Love, comfort and health should always be more important than beauty!

 

At TLC, we have an incredible team of well qualified animal lovers. Our groomers are Tish, Jenny, Kristen and Brittany. Our helpful, knowledgeable receptionists are Joslyn, Erich and Kim. Our invaluable assistants are Kim, Miles, Kat and Alina  and we are so thankful for them everyday! Together, our groomers offer over 65 years of experience.

 

Most of the dogs who come to see us like to stay cage free and mingle with the other dogs in the shop. We like that, too! However, if this is not an experience your dog would enjoy, we have alternatives. We use an area behind our front desk with a tall baby gate, our private salon, round pens or a crate to give your dog some private space. Just let us know what you think your pet would prefer and we will accommodate it.

 

We are open 5 days a week and groom dogs of every breed as early in life as about 4 months old (or when their puppy vaccines are completed)! We schedule our grooming appointments at times throughout the day, but they are always welcome to come early or stay late at no extra charge. Each appointment takes about 4-5 hours and we always call when the pet is ready. We also offer the option of a "Zoom Groom" for an extra $30-$40. A "Zoom Groom" is when your pet comes in and is groomed straight through with no down time or interruptions. A "Zoom Groom" appointment usually takes 2-3 hours but this time may vary depending on your pet (coat, size and needs). "Zoom Grooms" are best as our first appointment of the day and usually need to be scheduled several weeks in advance.

 

At TLC, we truly love what we do and each pet that we pamper. Our services include ala carte nail trims/grinding, basic baths, mini grooms, and full body haircuts. We work by appointment only and are typically booked several days to weeks in advance. Please note that Saturdays are particularly busy. We value your time and urge you to make an appointment or call ahead before coming in.
